How Can You Help

How Can I Help the Kokomo Rescue Mission?

At the Kokomo Rescue Mission, the question "How can I help?" is heard frequently in conversations.  There are many responses to that question...

Monetary Support...

One of the more obvious answers to the question is to Make a Donation, monetary assistance is always needed to help provide food and shelter to our neighbors in need.  For someone who would like to make a monthly donation, joining the Kokomo Rescue Mission's 99 and One Club is a great way become a regular donor.

Donating Needed Items...

Whether it is seasonings for the Kitchen, bedding items for the men's shelter, fresh fruit for Open Arms our Current Needs lists items needed at the Kokomo Rescue Mission.  Do you have extra household items such as gently used furniture or other items? Learn how to Donate Items so they can be put to use by someone else.  The Kokomo Rescue Mission also accepts the donation of used vehicles....learn more about Donating an Auto.

Tribute Gifts...

Finding a special way to honor or remember a loved one or special person in your life can be challenging.  At the Kokomo Rescue Mission, donations made in "honor of" and in "rememberance of" your loved one are so appreciated.  What better way to show a Tribute to that person than to help someone who is need of food and shelter.

The Power of Prayer...

Our purpose statement is quite clear:  "Kokomo Rescue Mission exists to proclaim the Good News and demonstrate the compassion of Jesus Christ to the homeless, hungry and hurting in North Central Indiana."  This purpose cannot be fully accomplished without consistent and ongoing Prayer Support

Volunteer Opportunities...

The Kokomo Rescue Mission has many wonderful part-time and full time staff members, but volunteers are the heart of so many of the outreach programs offered by KRM.  Whether a volunteer helps serve a meal or prepare items for Red Ribbon Christmas Boxes or assist with office tasks they are ALL important to spreading help and hope in our community.  Learn more about our Volunteers.  Let us help answer some of your questions about Volunteering or fill out an online Volunteer Application.
